Placeto CMS (Pla-Set-Oh) is a lightweight, easy to use PHP/MySQL content management system. Written to be as fast as possible and to use as little memory as possible. Placeto CMS offers browser and server caching, provides gzip compression if necessary and to cut down on bandwidth and CPU time.
Our goal for Placeto CMS is to serve the fastest Content Management System out there. Not only does it blow all of the other popular Systems out of the water in terms of speed, but it is written to use a little memory as possible. This means Placeto CMS works well from the small website owner to the huge cooperation that receives millions of website visits a day.
Infact, we're so sure that Placeto CMS is the fastest popular Content Management System out there, not only do we use it for our own website but we've done some research. Placeto CMS is currently only in Alpha stage. The Alpha releases include a engine and a working draft admin. However, advanced users can still use Placeto CMS to edit content and use a database administration tool like PHPMyAdmin, to access advanced features.
